Bake4EDEN combines a working bakery with learning aims, apprenticeships and is working towards sustainable employment for young people.

Tucked away in Sandgate, our little shop holds lots of delights!

Our daily bakers make some fabulous biscuits, cakes and sweet treats as well as our own homemade pies – savoury and sweet.

Weekly we make and bake Sourdough – the ‘old fashioned way’ a 24 hours process which creates a fabulous daily loaf – just flour, water & salt! We share our starter for free too!

Our chicken & ham pies are one of our best sellers - so what’s in our pies?

Pastry: flour, lard, butter & a pinch of salt.Filling: chicken thigh, gammon hock, both cooked together and the stock thickened only with cornflour & a touch of cream.And that’s it - no fillers, no added powder stock or mix. We are going ‘back to basics’ we are redeveloping all our products across our range to have just plain, simple and wholesome ingredients.Ingredients labels highlight what there is in your food, some are pretty scary - so we are going to phase out all processed ingredients.As regular customers will know, we also sell our pies unbaked, for you to bake at home. We have also been asked for family size plate pies, so we will begin to do these April - watch this space. ... See MoreSee Less
