Bake4EDEN combines a working bakery with learning aims, apprenticeships and is working towards sustainable employment for young people.
We acquired our bakery in early 2020, our opening on the 1st Feb – as we now have to manage the effects of Covid we are looking at our business model and making plans on how we grow and develop in this new world.

You will have heard the saying - teach a man to fish… well 💗 it was so good to hear one of the trainees, training a new trainee, coaching, guiding, supporting, encouraging correcting and explains the process.
This just proves time, patience and understanding of how a person learns is vital - and who better to teach a new trainee than one who has thrived and is now a mentor.

We’ve had a busy few weeks getting our orders out. Shop is aiming to open in April , will keep you posted. In the meantime Mathew & Rosie have been making some great products for our children’s meals project and developing our new cafe menu. Their skills are growing and the confidence and understanding of the how and why’s of the way things are done is enabling them to really appreciate the skills needed to make great food.
