4Eden (formally Eden Mencap Society) is a local charity providing coaching & support services & opportunities throughout the Eden Valley from our office and social enterprises based in Penrith. Our services specialise in learning disability, neurodiversity and additional learning needs. We employ trained and skilled local people to meet individual specific needs.
We work with our local community to provide everyday ordinary activities and experiences, focusing on the individual needs of each person. We coach & support children, young people & adults through a variety of opportunities to meet each person’s needs and to achieve their potential, living their ‘best life’
We are passionate about doing meaningful activities that encourage each person to be a valued part of their community. Build up their skills, interact with each other and achieve independence in as many parts of their daily lives as they aspire to.
We are developing real work opportunities by creating social enterprises understanding what people need, want and desire. We take positive risks and challenge each person to strive to reach and achieve their personal goals.
Coaching & support can be purchased via Social Service referrals, direct payments or Independent Service Fund (ISF) & continuing healthcare.
